Anita Gochevska

Assistant - "Nature Day" Program
Anita Gochevska was born in 1986 in Kochani, North Macedonia. She graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje, specializing in Social Work and Social Policy in 2008. During her studies, she participated in several training programs organized by the Institute of Social Work and Social Policy, including "Training Against Domestic Violence" and "Training for Children with Special Needs."
Ms. Gochevska has been working at the Apolonija Foundation since January 2013 as an assistant in the Nature Day program, with a specific focus on activities involving children with special needs. She works with these children in the Sensory Room located at the "Vlado Kantardziev" primary school in Gevgelija. Depending on the specific needs and abilities of each child, she employs various sensory integration methods, such as tactile and visual stimulation, relaxation, and calming techniques to help children who may become agitated or struggle with concentration. This assistance enables them to smoothly return to their classrooms and continue their activities.
She has also participated in seminars on "Sensory Integration Seminar" and "Special Methods of Sensory Integration."
"The smiles and the small everyday successes of children with special needs are the greatest motivation for my involvement in the Apollonia Foundation. The work is tough, exhausting, long-lasting, but at the same time, noble and very humane. Even the smallest achievement from at least one child gives us the feeling that we have moved mountains."
