Musical Moments
“Where young talent meets timeless music.”
The Apollonia Foundation has been organizing a concert series called "Musical Moments" for over 25 years at the Apollonia Hotel. This series has featured more than 200 classical music concerts, attracting both local artists from Macedonia and performers from abroad.
This year the “Gevgelija Musical Talents” concert, held at the Apollonia Hotel, showcased the remarkable skills of young musicians—former students of the Vaso Karajanov Music Academy who now continue their musical education in renowned secondary schools and faculties across the country. The evening opened with violinist Victoria Karakabakova, performing Bach’s “Sarabande” and Delibes’ “Pizzicato Polka,” followed by Sanja Milenković, who delivered powerful interpretations of Rachmaninoff’s Prelude in D minor and Chopin’s Etude Op. 25 No. 5 on piano. Violinist Emilia Nikolovska captivated the audience with the first movement of Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, while Ljubica Uliš, Sofija Jakimova, and Mimi Dučeva enriched the program with works by Clementi, Džakonovski-Špato, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninoff. Organized by ZG “Musical Moments” in celebration of its 25th anniversary, the event was supported by the Municipality of Gevgelija as part of the 2025 Cultural Activities Program and the “City of Culture 2025” initiative.
