Mitko Krdzev, born in 1958 in Bitola, is a Psychiatry graduate from St. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. He boasts 26 years of extensive experience at Gevgelija City Hospital, showcasing expertise in psychiatric care. His involvement in various projects highlights his commitment to community well-being. Notable engagements include a two-year initiative in 2001, supported by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Macedonia, focused on elderly care through the 'Call and Lunch' program at the Center for Social Work in Gevgelija. Additionally, his participation in the NGO 'Support' aided displaced individuals in Dojran the same year. Mitko also contributed to the FARE program, collaborating with Greek psychiatrists to educate staff at the Gevgelija Center for Mental Health. He is a seasoned participant in seminars, specializing in marginalized groups, drug addiction, and holds the role of coordinator at the Center for Prevention and Treatment of Drug Addiction.
His involvement with the Apollonia Foundation stems from a deep-seated motivation to initiate projects promoting health segments, especially in working with marginalized groups, children with disabilities, and supporting individuals coping with chronic psychosis. His ultimate goal revolves around facilitating their social integration.
