Milica Stojanova

Born in 1970 in Gevgelija, Milica Stojanova graduated from the University 'St. Cyril and Methodius,' Faculty for Pedagogy 'Kliment Ohridski' in Skopje, Macedonia, earning a degree as a Professor of Elementary School. Since November 10, 2006, she has held the position of Director at the public institution JOU Pionerski dom 'Josip Broz Tito' in Gevgelija.

Milica has been instrumental in organizing and executing a spectrum of projects and events that celebrate tradition and community engagement. Some of these initiatives include the International Folklore Festival 'FOLKLORE necklace,' the State competition on modern dance 'GEVGELIJA DANCE,' April Fool's Day events, Book Fairs, Mother's Day celebrations ('WITH LOVE FOR MAMA'), arranging flowers for the Municipal manifestation, and concerts commemorating significant city dates.

She has also been involved in fostering cultural activities, establishing the CITY Gortinija mixed choir and the GEVGELIJA Folk Ensemble, and managing the MYSTIC modern dance studio from Gevgelija. Milica's motivation lies in actively engaging children and youth, promoting volunteerism as a means of education, and integrating them into modern societal paradigms.

Milica recognizes the Apollonia Foundation as a crucial support system for the education and socialization of the youth beyond formal educational structures in Gevgelija. She hopes that the Foundation's boundless compassion will persist, bringing countless moments of joy where they are most needed for the children and young people of Gevgelija in the years to come.
